We have an 8 yr old townhouse that gets really hot on the third/top floor in summer. My husband and I dealt with it ok, but our spoiled Aussie puppy doesn’t sleep well if he’s too hot, and then we don’t sleep well. We already had two fans on him, plus a ceiling fan, but he’s still uncomfortable and hot, even in winter.
We decided to look in to a mini split for upstairs. Drew came out within days of calling, explained everything to us, answered all questions, brought up things we didn’t think of, and was very friendly, nice, helpful, and professional. They were able to schedule installation immediately and James and CJ came out to install, plus two electrician contractors. All were absolutely amazing and went way above and beyond. James and CJ worked in over 90 degree heat, that felt like 100, on our deck in the blazing sun with no shade. They worked so hard in pretty awful conditions and did a truly amazing job. We ordered lunch and made them come inside to eat and have a break in ac, and I really enjoyed talking with both of them for the few minutes they were willing to take a small break. I was honestly kind of dreading the installation day, expecting it to be a lot, but they made it so easy and the end result is better than we expected.
I would say this is probably the best experience my husband and I have ever had having work done in our home. We’ve had lots of companies come out to do various things and we’ve never had such a positive experience and such high quality work. These guys are top notch and way beyond 5 stars. The inside and outside units look amazing and like they came with/are part of the house. We used the mini split last night and all had a very comfortable chilly night. The dog actually slept all night without a peep.
And I absolutely agree with other review; make sure you have lots of cold drinks available and buy these guys lunch because they more than deserve those tiny things for hours and hours of their hard work in ridiculous temperatures. Highly recommend Smock and we are now customers for life.
