Check Your Thermostat
- Ensure it’s set to the desired temperature.
- Make sure it’s on the correct mode (cooling or heating).
- Check if the batteries need replacing (if applicable).

Check Your Breaker Panel
- Locate your home’s breaker panel and ensure the breaker for your HVAC system hasn’t tripped.
- If it has, reset it by switching it off and then back on.

Reset Your System
- Reset the breaker to both your indoor and outdoor units.
- Turn the breakers off, wait for about 5 minutes, and then turn them back on.
- Check to see if the system restarts.

Inspect Your Air Filter
- Dirty filters can restrict airflow and cause your system to malfunction.
- Check the filter and replace it if it looks dirty (we recommend doing this every 1-3 months)

Flush the Drain Line
- A clogged drain line can cause your system to shut off.
- Pour hot water down the drain line to help clear any blockages.
- If the trap is clogged, use a brush to gently clean it out.

Check Vents and Dampers
- Ensure all vents and registers throughout your home are open and unobstructed.
- Check that any dampers in your ductwork are in the proper position to allow airflow.

Listen for Unusual Noises
- Strange sounds like banging, rattling, or squealing could indicate a mechanical issue.
- If you hear anything unusual, it’s time to call in a professional.

Check for Error Codes
- If your system has a digital display, look for any error codes.
- Note down the code and share it with our technician when you call.
